WHO WE ARE

Blue Sky Tactical was founded by retired NYPD Detective, Gerard Del Prete. Gerard was a 22 year, highly decorated, veteran detective. After graduating the NYPD Police Academy, he served as a uniformed patrolman, but was quickly transferred to the elite Organized Crime Control Bureau. There he was assigned to the Narcotics Division where he effected the arrest of 1,000 criminals. After serving in the Narcotics Division, then Detective Del Prete worked in the Real Time Crime Center where he assisted other detectives in the investigation of many high profile cases utilizing sophisticated facial recognition software and other law enforcement databases. Gerard retired in May of 2021 and moved to Chapin, SC with his wife and daughter.

OUR MISSION

Our mission at Blue Sky Tactical is to offer no nonsense, lifesaving, firearms training. While other instructors may offer many military style courses, we offer simple and effective measures of firearms self defense that have been proven in real life, civilian scenarios.
